g-Space is Geomage's comprehensive interpretation and visualization platform for integrated subsurface analysis. It combines seismic interpretation, borehole data analysis, and 3D geological and reservoir modeling in one consistent environment — so geoscientists work across structural, geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir disciplines without leaving the software. A common platform with shared data handling, synchronized 2D/3D visualization, and simultaneous interpretation in time and depth spans the full workflow: data loading, well-tie, horizon and fault interpretation, velocity modeling, petrophysics, mapping, 3D static modeling, and volumetrics for Oil, Gas and CO₂. Developed and supported entirely in-house.

g-Space is a high-performance seismic interpretation and subsurface modeling platform designed for 2D and 3D seismic data analysis, structural interpretation, and reservoir evaluation. Developed for oil and gas exploration, geothermal energy, carbon capture and storage CCS, and critical mineral exploration, g-Space integrates seismic interpretation, velocity modeling, geological modeling, AVO analysis, and reservoir characterization within a unified professional environment. By eliminating data silos and connecting seismic volumes with well and geological data, the platform accelerates confident decision-making from early exploration to drilling and field development.

The software supports pre-stack and post-stack seismic data processing, advanced seismic attribute analysis, time-to-depth conversion, structural and stratigraphic modeling, and volumetric estimation. With optimized computing performance, AI-assisted interpretation workflows, and advanced 2D and 3D visualization tools, g-Space improves subsurface understanding while reducing project turnaround time across energy, storage, and mineral resource projects.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is g-Space?
g-Space is Geomage's integrated seismic interpretation and geomodeling software. It combines seismic interpretation, borehole data analysis, and 3D geological and reservoir modeling in a single, consistent environment — covering structural, geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir interpretation plus multi-user collaboration.
Can g-Space interpret in both time and depth?
Yes. g-Space supports simultaneous interpretation in time and depth domains with seamless switching — including picking, gridding and on-the-fly 3D visualization in any domain.
Does g-Space handle pre-stack seismic and AVO?
Yes. It imports 2D and 3D pre-stack gathers, offers advanced 3D gather views, embedded conditioning tools, and full polynomial AVO analysis (intercept, gradient, higher-order, fluid factor, EI/EEI) with cross-plots and Aki-Richards curve fitting.
What AI and machine-learning capabilities are included?
g-Space provides AI-based fault detection, AI-assisted horizon tracking, AI-assisted seismic attributes, and ML-assisted log prediction — all usable in automated or interactive modes.
Can g-Space calculate CO₂ volumes for carbon storage?
Yes. Volumetric and reserves calculation supports Oil, Gas and CO₂, with built-in gas-composition formulas and contact uncertainty analysis, supporting CCS and carbon-storage workflows alongside conventional hydrocarbons.
How does g-Space support team collaboration?
A PostgreSQL-backed multi-user mode provides concurrent access with real-time synchronization, role-based access control, version control, revision and audit history, monitored activity, and cloud-ready deployment. A stand-alone project-file mode is also available for individual interpreters.
What data formats does g-Space support?
Import includes SEG-Y, ZGY, LAS, DLIS, CSV, ASCII, shapefiles, DXF, GeoTIFF, images and GOCAD TSurf. Export includes ECLIPSE/GRDECL, GOCAD TSurf, CPS-3, ZMap, Charisma and XYZ ASCII, with a QGIS connector and CRS conversion.
Is g-Space extensible?
Yes. Python scripting gives direct access to project data (wells, logs, horizons, faults, seismic, maps, grids) and supports scientific libraries such as NumPy, alongside a drag-and-drop workflow framework for repeatable, semi-automated tasks.
Who develops and supports g-Space?
Geomage is the original developer and sole owner of g-Space, fully designed, implemented and maintained in-house. Support comes from the developers who built the modules, and client requests are typically implemented within days to weeks depending on complexity, without additional licensing or development charges.
How does g-Space fit with Geomage's other products?
g-Space integrates tightly with g-Platform, Geomage's full-scale seismic processing software, for iterative processing-to-interpretation workflows. g-Viewer, a lightweight SEG-Y visualization and QC tool, is provided complimentary so extended teams can access seismic data without consuming interpretation licenses.
Is there a free version or free trial?
Yes. The free trial runs for 14 days, and we can extend it if your evaluation needs more time; start it with the Free Trial button on this page. Universities and research institutions can use g-Space free for teaching and non-commercial research under the Academic License Program.
How much does g-Space cost?
g-Space is licensed per package, per year. List prices start at US$1,500 a year for Geological and US$2,500 for Structural; the Seismic, Reservoir and Petrophysical packages include Geological, and Seismic also includes Structural. Multi-user projects need two or more licenses. The g-Space pricing page lists every package and totals your selection.
What hardware and operating systems does g-Space run on?
The g-Space client runs on Windows 11 and higher, Linux (RHEL 8 and higher), or macOS 26 and higher on Apple Silicon (ARM); the server side runs on Windows Server 2019/2022 or RHEL 8–10. It also runs virtualized on VMware vSphere 8.0 / Horizon VDI and on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with broad NVIDIA and AMD GPU support and a CPU rendering fallback.
