Geomage offers free academic licenses to universities and research institutions for its advanced seismic software suites — enabling students and researchers to work with the same tools used by industry professionals.
Purpose
The program supports teaching and non-commercial research in geophysics, geology, and related fields. It allows students to gain real-world experience with seismic processing, imaging, and interpretation workflows.
Available Software
g-Platform™ – Seismic & VSP Processing
Comprehensive system for 2D, 3D, and VSP seismic data processing, including full pre-stack and post-stack workflows, velocity analysis, statics, filtering, and migration modules.
g-Space™ – Interpretation & Modeling
Integrated environment for geological and geophysical interpretation, horizon and fault mapping, seismic attributes, well-tie analysis, and static modeling.
g-Viewer™ – Visualization & QC
Lightweight, high-performance tool for seismic and geophysical data visualization, quality control, and presentation in 2D and 3D.
Academic Terms
The license is provided free of charge for educational and non-commercial research only. Participating institutions confirm academic use and acknowledge Geomage in publications or presentations. Geomage may feature partner universities on its website as academic collaborators.
License Options
Classroom License – shared use in labs and teaching environments.
Personal Student License– optional, for students enrolled in approved courses, valid for the duration of the semester.
Application Process
- Prepare an official university cover letter confirming academic use.
- Send the request to info@geomage.com.
- Geomage will review and provide installation and activation details.
