Houston, Texas – 13 March 2008 - Geomage, a leading provider of seismic and data processing services, announced today that Dr. Evgeny Landa, an internationally recognized and widely published geophysicist, has agreed to join the Geomage Executive Advisory Board. Dr. Landa is the leading authority on model-independent seismic processing technologies, such as Multifocusing™, an advanced macro-model independent technology developed by Geomage. Dr. Landa will help guide the continued development and application of the technology by the exploration and production industry.

Dr. Landa earned a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, in 1986, and held a Post Doctoral position at Institut de Physique du Globe, France in 1987-1988. He led the R&D and Seismic Processing departments at the Geophysical Institute of Israel in 1982-2002. An internationally acclaimed researcher and lecturer, Dr. Landa has published over 40 technical papers in various scientific and industrial journals, including Geophysics, Soviet Geology, Geophysical Prospecting, Applied Geophysics and The Leading Edge. He also authored Beyond Conventional Seismic Imaging, published by the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers.

Dr. Landa also currently serves as the Director of the Applied Geophysical Research Group, OPERA, in Pau, France. OPERA is an industry-university collaboration founded by TOTAL and reflecting advanced research in oil and gas exploration and production technologies. Dr. Landa regularly presents at international scientific meetings, including the Society of Exploration Geophysics (SEG) and European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), where he is an active member. He is an international lecturer and has spoken at the Geophysical Society of UK, Amoco in Oklahoma, USA, Elf Aquitaine in France, Geophysical Institute in South Korea, and educational events for EAGE in the UK and Russia.
